Transnational Meetings

The last transnational meeting was held at the end of May 2019 at the partner school Osnovna škola Vežica in Rijeka, Croatia. The meeting was attended by coordinators of each school and one member of the project team in each school (from each school two people).

On the first day, all guests met the host school, headmaster and school administration, Erasmus + team of teachers and students in school, teachers and students from other partner schools. The pupils of the host school will present a welcome program with a few traditional dances and songs. 

The main purpose of this meeting is to unite and publish all project results and to prepare the final report. The coordinators prepared all the materials on the activities carried out, the materials were aggregated and published on the web site, Twinnspace, etc. We analyzed all the results of the project, try to seek ways to improve results, arrange ways of presenting the results of the project activities.

All the participants will toke part in an international conference Mipro 2019 Computers in Education (www.mipro.hr). Coordinators prepared a scientific paper on the project activities and its results, and presented to all participants of conference. Also, paper was be published in the ISBN registered conference proceedings. Paper was submitted for posting to IEEE Xplore. There is a possibility that the selected scientific papers with some further modification and refinement will be published in the Journal of Computing and Information Technology (CIT).

During last meeting in the project Erasmus+ Young Entrepreneurs in Action, all participants visited Museum Rijeka, Peek&Poke Museum, Museum of Childhood, Astronomical Center Rijeka, Trsat Castle, City Hall Rijeka and toke part at Chocolate museum workshop, Escape room. This meeting was a unique opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and inventors in the largest Croatian port city, Rijeka. This was a unique opportunity to learn about rich Croatian history, culture and tradition.

 

 

The second transnational meeting was held at the begining of September 2018 at partner school Akçansa Fatih Sultan Mehmet Ortaokulu in Istanbul, Turkey. At this meeting attended coordinators of each school and one ot two members of the project team in each school. The host school is the expert in the use of ICT in education. For all the participants at the transnational meeting hosts prepared a series of workshops on the use of new tools in project activities to work with students and in particular it is important to hold a workshop for coordinators and teachers about making online courses, electronic books, drafting and preparing publications for printing: designing magazine and catalog of project activities.

The coordinators from each school presented all implemented project activities, research results, realized dissemination, collaborations with the local community and partners who contribute to the project and are not direct beneficiaries. We presented campaigns implemented at each school, cooperation with parents, cooperation between teachers, cooperation between students, ways of supporting students with disabilities.

At the meeting all project activities that took place during the first year of the project were discussed in detail and all together we made a detailed plan for the implementation of activities in the second year of the project. We discussed about all the problems, difficulties, challenges and risks in the project, with particular emphasis on the budget.

All guest teachers met the school Erasmus team and all together they participated to the Laughing yoga workshop. This was team building activity but also the example of good practice how to develop bussines idea. The workshop leader is a very successful and well-known female entrepreneur. Her success story is very inspiring and motivating for all generation and especially for girls and women.

The international Erasmus team visited the Büyükçekmece Art Center. We learned the Ebru - traditional way of painting silk scarves. We all actively participated in the workshop. We learned how to make scarves with this special technique. We learned how to combine tradition and a successful business.

During the 2nd transnational meeting in Istanbul, all participants visited the Büyükçekmece town hall and presented their schools, cities, regions and countries. All together with the mayor we disscused about the Young Entrepreneurs in Action project, project activities and resulst, we disscused about importance and benefits of intrenational cooperation between schools.

During the meeting all Erasmus team members visited the historical Peninsula: Hagia Sofia, Basilica Cistern, Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Grand Bazaar, Eminönü and Egyptian Bazaar. This was a unique opportunity to learn about entrepreneurship and its development through the human history. This was a unique opportunity to learn about rich Turkish history, culture and tradition.

 

 

The first transnational meeting was held at the 1st Primary School Čakovec in Croatia from 13 to 15 of December 2017. At this meeting the active participants were coordinators from all partners schools, accompanying teachers and headmasters form each partner school.

The meeting was a face-to-face opportunity to meet all the coordinators of the partner schools and some teachers, memebers of the international Erasmus+ Young Entrepreneurs in Action team. The main purpose of the meeting were to introduce the team members, team building and the development of good and successful cooperation and communication between partners schools.

Each coordinator prepared the material through which all the details about the partner school, city, region and country of origin were presented. All participants got acquainted with the customs, culture and traditions of each country in order to better and more successfully prepare teachers, parents and students for mobility in these countries.

Also, at the meeting coodrinators from each school developed a detailed plan of activities, methods of monitoring activities, evaluation and reporting partners of the activities carried out. Each activity were discussed in detail and we were jointly adopt guidelines for the implementation of all project activities. We agreed on the method of conducting research on the needs, research before and after the implementation of each activity and the methods of reporting the results of research. Each partner received a detailed description of the specific tasks for which they are responsible. We agreed on the timelines for each activity, discussed and agreed about methods of disposal and management of the budget.

We arranged the means and ways of communication between the coordinators, all the teachers involved in the project in all schools, the way of communication for students involved in the project from all countries and their parents. We arranged the ways in which students were selected to participate in mobilities and the ways in which we choose families to host student. We agreed about terms and reference for students who traveled and host families.

We arranged the methods and frequency of reporting on project activities in the wider community and educational experts (articles on educational portals, professional papers in seminars and conferences). We used the technique of discussion and brainstorming respecting previous experience of each partner and to follow the examples of good practice.

During the 1st transnational meeting all guests from partners schools with their hosts, visited the mayor of Čakovec Mr. Stjepan Kovač. All together we disscused about educational systems in our countries, needs in our schools, we disscused about importance of international cooperation for the future of students, teachers and educational system in generaly. Intrenational Erasmus+ Young Entrepreneurs in Action team visited the Technological Innovation Center of Međimurje and learned how to develop bussines idea to into a successful and recognizable business. Participants have learned about traditional crafts in međimurje county as an example of good practice in a successful business idea: pottery, enology, farming of agricultural products. We visited the museum of Međimurje county, we met history, tradition of međimurje county, traditional customs, traditional crafts and way of life, traditional food and desserts. We visited the baroque town of Varaždin and capital of Croatia, Zagreb. We visited Christmas fairs and learned how to turn tradition and hobby into a successful business.
